Job Description
The Computer Science Department in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMass Boston) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to begin September 1,2027. We will consider strong candidates in the broad fields of quantum computing and/or quantum information.
A PhD in computer science or a related area is required. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and start-up package and is expected to establish a highly recognized, externally funded, independent research program.
The Computer Science Department at UMass Boston is a vibrant and collegial group of faculty with research interests in Artificial intelligence, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Neural networks and programming languages, and significant graduate and undergraduate programs. The UMass Boston College of Science and Mathematics is committed to excellence in research and education. UMass Boston expects to pay within an approximate range between $80,000 and $131,978 for this position.
The specific pay for this position will be determined by the University based on the consideration of all relevant factors when and if it decides to extend an offer of employment.
