A leading client in Piscataway is seeking a wireless technician for a period of one year. This is a temporary opportunity. Job details are below. Apply today for immediate consideration!

Title: Wireless Technician
Pay rate: $35/hr - $40/hr depending on experience
Duration: 12 months
Location: Onsite in New Brunswick, one day work from home
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5 pm
Experience:

• Experience as a cable technician or IT field technician 1- 2 yrs experience is ideal.
• High school diploma, or a college degree (associates or bachelors) or applicable IT certifications. 

Duties

• Able to troubleshoot, terminate, test and qualify Ethernet cables.
• Able to troubleshoot and evaluate wireless signal strength and performance.
• Able to troubleshoot switch issues such as packet loss, POE budget and auto-negotiation.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Illustrator a plus.
• Familiarity with Service Now a plus.
• Assist with maintaining inventory of parts and equipment.
• Assist with maintaining documentation.
• Will climb step ladders to get to wireless access points.

Requirements:

• Clean driving record. Individuals must have their own transportation as they may commute to nearby campuses within New Brunswick and Piscataway. May be asked to drive a client vehicle.
• Good communication skills and professionalism required
• Must be punctual, dependable and reliable

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
